Torrentfreak is reporting that torrent community UltraHDClub has taken full credit for cracking AACS 2.0 and uploading the first pirated 4K Ultra HD movie. If you haven't watched anything in 4K Ultra UD, then this probably means nothing to you. Whether this will lead to suddenly seeing all 4K Ultra HD on torrenting sites is yet to be determined. I'm sure compression rate will improve over time (as it's wont to do) and file sizes will decrease. I'm not sure if we'll see a response from the AACS partner companies, as acknowledging AACS 2.0 has been cracked might be worse than it actually having been cracked. Frankly, the Smurfs 2 decision leads to think this was either a fluke, or a beta test. Either way, I wouldn't touch that file through a stranger's VPN.
